Much like Tinder, and other dating apps there are matches in this app as well. The premise of matches is to promote more hang out with friends. The biggest problem I encountered prior to designing this app was that as a foodie living in a new city, there are so many opportunities to try food but it is so hard finding a place, especially when you want to coordinate with friends who's taste are different. It could be hours of debating and searching until it is too late to try anything new and now the only options are McDonalds and IHOP.
That is why the premise of this app is to simplify this problem, though it might seem rather mundane, it is a problem that effects a lot of people especially young adults. So with the matches in this app, we are able to make scheduling food hangouts significantly easier.
While the general premise of the app revolves around the idea of swiping right to like a certain food and swiping left to reject certain items, this theoretically will create an algorithm that will show more and more food that users enjoy. Not only is it based on swiping but like other social media apps, there will be poster information, descriptions/captions they add, as well as an opportunity to recommend certain items they enjoy.
